Perkies partners with the AiRS Foundation

Perkies is a new partner of the AiRS Foundation.

The AiRS Foundation’s Mission is to be a resource and a support system for the women who have had mastectomies as a result of breast cancer,  BRCA+ or other genetic mutations, educating them on reconstruction options, and ultimately assisting them with the cost of reconstructive surgery.

Even with insurance, the costs associated with reconstruction after mastectomy can be overwhelming or unattainable for many.  Without this option, many women experience feelings of hopelessness, depression and often suggest that they don’t “feel whole” or “like themselves".  We work in partnership with physicians in the United States to provide the resources necessary to make these procedures an option for these underserved women who would not otherwise have access.
When Perkies launched Perkies Nips (Nipple Enhancers), we quickly realized this was not just a retail/pop-culture product, but an impact product. Women who have had a mastectomy, often do not have nipples post-surgery. Women can opt for nipple reconstruction or permanent tattoos, however both options are quite permanent. By providing women with the option of reusable, adhesive-backed, nipple enhancers, women can feel a new sense or normalcy and confidence!
